Just before my California trip to hang with friends, at the BET experience and awards, I ventured into the H&M in Chevy Chase. After choosing a few chill pieces, I proceed to the register with all my crap and was told they were only accepting cash. Of course I don't have cash, I barely have my wallet. Now I'm on a mission to find cash which was no easy task. Two broken ATMs, three cash back transactions from CVS and one torrential downpour with no umbrella later, I'm back at H&M.
Next dilemma. Sales associate ringing up the merchandise explains I can't use my gift cards. *Roll eyes* I calculated my cash according to the amounts on my gift cards. This revelation results in me not having enough money to purchase everything. Something had to go and I chose to leave behind the white tiered dress. My lovely cashier could see my stress levels increase and understood my need to be affiliated with this dress decided to take matters in her own hands. She kindly applied her employee discount to my purchase apologizing for the inconvenience. Taking 30% off and joyfully reuniting me with my beloved dress.
Having to wear all black in Cali, I wasn't able to strut in my dress but New Orleans offered the perfect backdrop with its bright colors, rich esthetics and charming culture.

Dress: H&M / Shorts: Urban Outfitters / Sneakers: Balenciaga |
Lower Garden District
Jean Lafitte National Park - French Quarter
Near Convention Center
Scarf: Zara / Hat: Peter
If you look closely you can see a difference in my appearance at each location. The introduction of the scarf, then later borrowed this fedora off Pete's head, added my scarf and now we have a full 'fit!
PS- This dress may be a beach cover-up. It's extremely sheer, hence why I added the shorts underneath.
PSS- Yes, the Balenciaga Triple S sneakers are heavy. No, they don't hurt. They are actually comfortable. Each time I've worn them for a 12+ hour duration. My Nike's sometimes can't sustain me that long.
My friends think it would be fun... but a hour and a half later they are finally ready for us to hit the stage and also cut off the lights in the convention center. LOL! The models were pushed back due to other presenters tardiness and the festival was over at 6pm.
XO,
Kee Feeling as Free as NOLA
